How to get started

On Behalf of | Dec 10, 2022 | Firm News

If you are interested in learning more about how Windrose Law Center PLC can help you, we invite you to give us a call to schedule a no cost initial consultation.

What will we discuss at our first meeting?

The purpose of this meeting is for us to learn about you, how we can help you, and to determine if we are a good fit. We sure hope that we get to keep working with you, but first, we will need to gather some more information. You probably have questions too, so we will be happy to help work through them.

How long is our first meeting?

We reserve thirty (30) minutes for these free initial calls. If we both agree to move forward, we may keep talking for a bit longer to get some more details and start on your matter.

What if I can’t fill out the questionnaire before our first meeting?

It’s no problem. Although filling out a questionnaire will help us get some more information, it’s not mandatory.

Is there a charge for the first meeting?

There is no charge for our first meeting.

How much do you charge?

We typically offer flat fees rather than hourly rates. At our first meeting, we will give you some options and let you know the cost.  Most clients pay ½ up front and ½ at the end.

Will we be meeting in person at any point?

It depends on the type of matter we are helping you with.  We almost always meet our estate planning clients in person. For probates, trust administrations, and business matters, we often find ourselves working by email and phone, but it really depends on your needs and where you live (for example, you may live in another state and need help with your loved one’s estate in Arizona). We will discuss this in more detail at our first call.

Who will I be working with?

The first call will be with lead attorney Kristin Moye (pronounced Moy-yay). Kristin has been an lead attorney for the last twelve years and founded Windrose Law Center PLC. Lead attorney Kristin has a staff of six including attorney Colton Powell.

Do I need to have anything ready for our first meeting?

Prior to our first meeting, we invite you to fill out a questionnaire.  This will help our meeting be the most productive. Questionnaires can be filled out right from your computer or phone, no need to print anything out.
