Frequently Asked Questions

What will we discuss at our first meeting?

The purpose of this meeting is for us to learn about you, how we can help you, and to determine if we are a good fit. We sure hope that we get to keep working with you, but first, we will need to gather some more information. You probably have questions too, so we will be happy to help work through them.

How long is our first meeting?

We reserve thirty (30) minutes for this first meeting. If we both agree to move forward, we may keep talking for a bit longer to get some more details and start on your matter.

Is there a charge for the first meeting?

There is no charge for our first meeting.

How much do you charge?

We typically offer flat fees rather than hourly rates. At our first meeting, we will give you some options and let you know the cost. Most clients pay ½ up front and ½ at the end.

Will we be meeting in person at any point?

We almost always meet our estate planning clients in person. For probates, trust administrations, and business matters, we often find ourselves working by email and phone, but it really depends on your needs and where you live (for example, you may live in another state and need help with your loved one’s estate in Arizona). We will discuss this in more detail at our first call.

Who will I be working with?

Attorney Kristin Moye (pronounced Moy-yay) will be your main point of contact but you will also meet members of our staff.

I am a person who likes to be prepared, is there anything else you can tell me?

Sure! Check out this video to learn more about the components of an estate plan and the process for creating one. Talk with you soon!
